The fantastic, funny, moving and socially active production of The Vagina Monologues will be performed here on Friday by some really outstanding women. Friday is V-Day, the annual day of awareness about violence against women.
A lot of people are turned off by the title of the show, and, as they read about it on Wikipedia, …

We did it. We finished third in the nation; something we knew was achievable but would take a perfect weekend to reach. Well, that’s what we had — a perfect weekend.
The weekend was very close to being a huge disappointment, as we were already 3-4 down against Yale University in the quarterfinals. After Jim Bristow, …

Last week I wrote about the emotional burden teachers shoulder and the stress they’re asked to accept in the course of their profession. One aspect I didn’t emphasize enough, and probably should’ve, was the aspect of pay — hence why this week’s title is so similar to last week’s.

In the spirit of all the other Valentine’s Day tables, VOX allowed people to send gifts to their friends and lovers by simply putting down their friends’ addresses and adding a memo. …

We were expecting a somewhat bigger crowd than normal. After all, it was Trinity College that was coming down — a team that has won 10 consecutive national championships and was two wins away from completing a winning streak of 200 matches (they completed it the next day by beating Cornell).
And a crowd it was. …

One of the things that most scares me about the profession I’ve chosen to pursue is the tremendous emotional burden teachers have to shoulder. My father doesn’t talk much about his teaching job, so most of what I know on the subject derives from what my own teachers were willing to tell me. And though …
